A day full of concentration, strategy and enthusiasm was experienced in our Selective Middle School Chess Tournament, an instance in which our students demonstrated their skills, capacity for analysis and passion for this challenging science sport.Board by board, the participants faced each other with one big goal: to obtain a place on the official team that will represent the British Royal School in the next ISP Chessmaster. The high level of the games demonstrated not only the talent of our students, but also values such as perseverance, respect and fair play.We especially want to congratulate Professor Carlos Sánchez, organizer of this initiative and a great promoter of chess in our educational community. Thanks to their dedication and enthusiasm, our students find in this space an opportunity to develop strategic thinking, decision making, patience and confidence in their own abilities.At BRS we believe that each learning experience is an opportunity to develop well-rounded students, capable of facing challenges with intelligence, discipline and passion.
