Celebrating multilingualism

Students at BRS bring their languages into every lesson - greeting friends in Spanish, tackling projects in English, and switching seamlessly to explore new ideas.

They grow as confident communicators by thinking out loud, asking questions and reflecting in two languages, stepping into a connected world ready to lead conversations across cultures.

Languages offered

Students master English while growing a deep love and confidence in Spanish as their first language. They step into an immersive English programme where both languages stay active in their daily learning.

Infant School

At British Royal School, students follow a bilingual curriculum up to 6th grade and, in their first years, they immerse themselves in English as their main language of learning.

Primary School

From 7th grade onwards, students follow an intensive English programme, dedicating more hours per week to English than in a traditional school in Chile, so they can sustain their learning and develop a high level of proficiency in the language.

Middle School

From 1st grade through 12th grade, students actively prepare for internationally recognised English certifications aligned with the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR), which validate their language proficiency at a global level.

Empowering every learner

Through a rich mix of language experiences, students build the skills and resilience they need to thrive.

Personalised language assessments

Students experience personalised language learning from day one. Every new student completes an initial assessment and language profile, and our goal is for them to reach at least a B2 level of English, preparing them for the language demands of higher education.

Real-world language opportunities

Students take part in International Learning Opportunities for Students. They join cultural exchanges, debates and creative film projects. These experiences create safe, exciting spaces to practise and grow their language skills.

Isabel Estévez

I have been part of this community for 15 years, and in that time I have grown not only as a professional but also as a person. I have had the privilege of supporting hundreds of students on their journey, seeing them learn, discover, dream and become who they are today. They are, without a doubt, the driving force behind my vocation.
