We were very proud to welcome Carolina Rossi, Chile’s Undersecretary of Science, Technology, Knowledge, and Innovation, to the British Royal School. She visited us to meet and congratulate the students who will soon travel to the Magallanes Region to present their outstanding Antarctica-related project. During the meeting, our students shared the origins of their proposal, the research process they undertook, and the extensive work involved in this significant challenge. It was also a valuable opportunity to discuss science, innovation, and the importance of the new generation actively engaging with the major challenges facing our country and the planet. The Undersecretary offered her support and encouraged them to continue developing their ideas with curiosity, commitment, and perseverance as they embark on this new phase. This experience reflects the value of fostering learning that extends beyond the classroom, enabling our students to conduct research, ask questions, create solutions, and connect their knowledge with real-world challenges.
