BRS among the 15 finalists of the 2026 School Antarctic Fair

Third-year high school students will represent our school in the national final to be held in Punta Arenas.

We are very proud to share that our students Josefa and Alonso, together with teacher Martín Cárcamo, were selected as finalists for the 2026 School Antarctic Fair (Feria Antártica Escolar), organized by the Chilean Antarctic Institute (INACH).

Their research—chosen from among more than 600 projects from across Chile—addresses glacial melting and its impact on the Antarctic ecosystem, a critical issue for the present and future of our planet.

During the last week of August, the delegation will travel to Punta Arenas to represent the British Royal School in the grand national final. There, they will have the opportunity to present their work and compete for a spot in the EAE 63 School Antarctic Expedition, which will allow the winners to travel to the White Continent.

This significant achievement reflects our students' curiosity, commitment, and research capabilities, as well as the ongoing guidance provided by our teachers.
